Abstract:

Background and purpose: Presently, computers and the development of information technology have resolved many limitations in the health and medical arena, and have also opened many doors to improve communication, information and ability for better patient care, in health and medical care provider centers. Moreover, they have many applications such as virtual reality, medical data-bank, tele-health, expert systems and information-networks. The purpose of this study was to evaluate reporting software of ADS9 counteri’s program.Materials and methods: This research is a descriptive study which was performed in 2008. Population of this study include employees in office of statistics of Medical Universities in Iran, that work in conjunction with Hospimp software and is answerable regarding Hospimp software in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. For data collection, researcher used a two-part questionnaire for evaluating general and specified criteria pertaining to the software. The analysis of data was used in descriptive manner with SPSS. The grade of variables studied in this research involved: evaluation of general properties, specified properties, statistical reporting, data-bases, goal of groups and aim of the program with Hospimp software, that is, in average 37.5, 22.58, 41.66, 57.14, 36.36 and 27.27, with a standard deviations of 0.09, 0.08, 0.15, 0.2, 0.15 and 0.14.Results: Technical tissue fall in the slide was not observed. 93.93 % of SCC was stained by p63. None of the small cell carcinoma was stained by p63. In the first 2 months, 53.34% of distained section’s had similar staining intensity, compared with re-cut sections, 46.66% of cases were decreased in staining intensity and none were negative. Conclusion: Generally, in the evaluated dimensions, Hospimp software has more blind spots rather than strength spots. General properties of the software have a better intensity level, than its specified properties. In order to improve and develop useable software’s in the health and medical arenas, we will recommend the development of international standards in designing, production, testing, measuring and software conservation.

Abstract:

Introduction: Evaluation of HOSPITAL information system (HIS) is a complex endeavor, in which all human, technical and organizational aspects should be considered. This study aimed to develop indicators for HIS evaluation. Methods: Present qualitative study was carried out through a cross-sectional method in 2012 in Kerman province, using Delphi technique. Given the objectives of this study, three independent phases were performed including literature review, providing draft indicators for HIS evaluation and reaching consensus. Required data were obtained through interviews and designed forms. Twenty-three experts composed the study population in interview and reaching consensus phases. Validity and reliability were confirmed through content validity and test-retest method, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Final set of indicators for HIS evaluation consisted of ninety-one indicators under 8 main topics, i.e. technical quality, software quality, architecture and interface quality, vendor quality, after-sale services quality, workflow support quality, support department, outcome quality and HIS cost. Conclusion: Given the complexity of information system evaluation, all human, technical and organizational aspects have to be taken into account in any evaluation. Proposed indicators provide the possibility of comprehensive evaluation of HIS.

Abstract:

ackground: This was a systematic review presenting the future competencies for HOSPITAL MANAGERs. Methods: Participants, interventions, comparisons and outcomes (PICO) strategy with MeSH terms were used for searching. Databases used were Web of Science, PsycINFO and Medline, EBSCO, ScienceDirect, Emerald, ProQuest, Social Sciences Research Network, Embase, and some Iranian database such as IRANDOC and SID. All publications were accepted if they had been published in English or Persian language and fulltexts were accessible. The study was carried out using a systematic literature search published between January 1995 and December 2018. The Endnote v. 17 software was used to facilitate reference management. Quality assessment of publications were carried out independently by two reviewers using the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist. A descriptive summary with data tables produced to summarize the literature. Data extraction was conducted by two researchers. Results: Forty seven studies were analyzed to identify the future competencies required for HOSPITAL MANAGERs. In all, 3190 publications were retrieved. 1934 citations were excluded because of irrelevant (n=2600), duplicates (n=316), and unavailable full text (n=18). After studying the 256 remaining publications, 33 citations were extracted and presented. After extracting the future competencies of HOSPITAL MANAGERs, competencies were classified into four main categories based on the qualitative meta-synthesis process. Abstract:

Background: The importance of the role of nursing MANAGERsin the effectiveness of patient care and improvement of the nursing care quality is undeniable. In this regard, existence of identical criteria and instructions in nursing care management is crucial. Therefore, the present study was conducted to present a model for selection, recruitment, and training nursing MANAGERs. Method: This descriptive-comparative study was carried out in 2017. The study population included common and available models in selecting, training, and employing nursing MANAGERs in the UK, the USA, Canada, Turkey, Australia, and Iran. The keywords used were nursing MANAGER, recruitment, selection, and training. Information was collected through online databases, library resources, and other electronic or paper journals. To verify the suggested model, a 50-item questionnaire based on selection, recruitment, and training nursing MANAGERs was developed in the second stage of the study. The data analysis method was content analysis. In the second stage, SPSS 21 and Z Test were used for statistical analysis of the findings and for each question, respectively. Results: The findings of the study are presented in three sections including selection, training, and recruitment of nursing MANAGERs. In the final model, 30 factors were identified as factors influencing the selection, training, and recruitment of nursing MANAGERs. Academic qualifications, professional qualifications of individuals, individual characteristics, human skills of qualified people, management skills of qualified individuals, and ethical qualifications of qualified individuals are among the characteristics that were approved in the present study to select a nursing MANAGER. To train the nursing MANAGERs, we can use curricula and hold training courses and congresses in the health sector. In order to employ nursing MANAGERs, it is important to pay attention to the role of MANAGERs in strategic plans. Conclusion: The need for paying attention to appropriate administrative structures, effective teaching methods, human resources, laws and regulations, and assessment considering the principles of nursing should be taken into consideration in selecting, training, and recruiting nursing MANAGERs.
